They're here!!!

Thank you to all of you who prayed for safe travels for my parents.  They are here!!!  They arrived Saturday evening after a long 25 hours of traveling.  I am so proud of them!  They have never flown alone before, and never across the ocean.  Of course, there is an (almost) 1 year old baby girl that served as the main motivator for this trip.  They are spoiling her already, and she is eating up all the love and attention.  They are doing pretty well with the jet-lag so far.  They felt great this morning (of course, that is the easy time).  They felt sluggish this afternoon, and my mom just went to bed at 8:45 pm.  My dad is trying to hang in there a little bit longer.

I'm so glad they made it. I'm sure they were thrilled to see that grandbaby, but as a Mom I know they were overjoyed to see you too!

YAY! I'm so glad they made it safely and that you're all having a good time! We're not as far away as you are, but we sure love it when grandparents come to visit!

Yes, the love of our kids and grandchildren makes us older folks do things we never did before!

Our oldest daughter and her family live in Sweden. In 2002 I went to see her, even took 19-month-old Destiny along!! I hadn't flown in 20 years! What a TRIP, literally!

In two weeks Dick is taking his turn finally to go over there. We hope to someday be able to afford to both go together.

Have a GREAT time!

Thanks so much for your wonderful blogs, Lynn. I'm so glad your parents made it over safely, so proud of them! I know what it's like to grandparent from "afar" and just how special it is to be able to visit. Enjoy your time together. Marian Gingrich

Hey everybody! this is Emily who wroks with Lisa. So glad that Marilyn and Glen arrived safely! I'm hoping to get Lisa to view the blog today. We'll publish a comment if it works out. Also we are going to take a crack at making those "delicious bars" bars today Mmmmm . . . sounds yummy! I'll let you know how it goes. Marilyn, I know I had said I would email you about the appointment, but that would be an awfully long email to read. I plan to call you once you get back to the US of A. would that be okay?
