This morning, I woke up to this.....
My sweet husband left a note for "his girls" saying this was an early Valentine's gift because it would be logistically impossible on Thursday (he works 12 hour shifts Tues, Wed, Thurs this week). Honestly, it was way better and not expected on Tuesday! Of course, the beauty of this gesture is all in the details. Don't get me started on the fact that he got tulips and a card for our sweet baby girl.
I LOVE surprises....the difficult part of this is that I am really hard to surprise. I don't try to be. I just figure things out. My husband leaves for work at 5:20 am (I must interject to say that part of the reason for this is that he rides his bike to work in the BITTER cold so that I can use the one car that we are sharing). That means he got up around 4 am. He brought the flowers in the night before while I was nursing Adeline. He put them in a bowl of water and stored them in a closet in our entryway where I store extra toilet paper and paper towels. This brings us to yet another detail...he stocked the bathrooms with an extra roll of toilet paper to make sure I wouldn't have a reason to go into that closet.
Look closely at the picture...we have no vases....this is Korea....we brought the bare minimum. He emptied out two of our snack containers and put the snacks in ziplock bags. I thought this was very creative (expecially at 4 am).
Cards are one of my favorite things to receive from my husband. He knows this, and this card was so sweet and I know I will be rereading it for days!
Thank you, sweetie, for making your girls feel so loved and cared for. You are a blessing and we love you....Happy Valentine's Day!

Oh my goodness - what a sweetheart! And how thoughtful of him to remember all the details to make it special for you. I'm glad you had such a wonderful Valentine's surprise!
That was really sweet and well thought out. Could you tell Adeline to try and smile a little more in pictures? Ha ha. She is a doll. You can't help but smile when you see her smile.

What a fun surprise! Almost means more when it's not Valentine's Day. I love surprises!

This is unbelieveably sweet!
Mother Nolt said, How precious. How cute are they. Love you Patrick.
YEAH, Patrick! What an awesome surprise...especially for the girl that is VERY hard to surprise!
Gorgeous flowers, too! I'm sure they're even better in person!
Happy Valentines Day to you two lovebirds! :)
My husband used to bless his daughters with flowers or treats. That always blessed me more than if I received something.
Sounds like you have a great guy.
Awwwwww.....

your daughter looks so cute in that picture - what a smile.
