While I'm at it, let me do an addendum to this post....
Adeline's name is pronounced "Add-uh-line" (with a long "I" as in Caroline) not "Add-uh-lynn". I guess since my name is Lynn some people assume I used my name to make part of hers...but I didn't.

Yeah, I was pronouncing her name right! Do you get people who mispronounce it? Poor little Mauryn has her name mispronounced all the time.
I LOVE Adeline's name by the way :o)
I got that one right.
Oops! I was wrong again. Glad you clarified that too.
BTW, made the strawberry jam bars, used the wrong cereal but they were still dee-licous! I will make them again for sure.
I think it's funny that you used Caroline as an example, because I think I might have pronounced THAT as "lynn" at the end.
But I did have Adeline right, in my mind.
I had a friend in school with the same spelling who pronounced it the same, so I've been saying it right. It really is a pretty name.
I was pronouncing it Line not Lyn. :) I guess I have just known more people pronounce it that way.
We are NOT military living in Japan. It would be nice to live here as military especially since we are a family of 8 and I do not have any American ammenities.
We do not have central heat or air, or a dryer----which is all typical of Japan. Despite all their modern technology.
