Survey Says....

So, I have a strange question for you today.  It has been on my mind since I went to the beach with three of my girlfriends a few weeks ago.  Let me paint the picture...

One friend and I were sharing a sink while we were getting ready.  She brushed her teeth, spit, and that's it.  She rinsed her toothbrush, but not her mouth.  I gave her a lot of grief for "swallowing toothpaste."  She claims she DIDN'T swallow toothpaste because she spit.  The other girls got involved.  I was sure they would back me up.  They didn't.  There were no other rinsers in our group.  I said, "Why do you think they put those paper cups in bathrooms?"  "In case you want a drink of water."  What?!?!?!  I shared the story with my husband.  He agreed that I had the craziest friends on the planet and that NORMAL people rinse.  So, for the record, do you rinse?  Comment if you wish, but please also answer the survey on the left for those who wish to remain anonymous.

I voted every time, but with a cupped hand.

(Am I the only one who read "survey on the right" and was confused for a whole 30 seconds before I saw it on the left? Sheesh.)

YES, I rinse. There are some currents testing that show that the floride is not good for your body, good for the teeth, but not if swallowed.

My Chicago kids would flip if they read this post. They only use organic tooth paste and they rinse, hehe.

Does it count as rinsing if you stick your toothbrush under the water and then brush once more with just water, no paste? B/C that is what I do. IF however you mean actually getting a cup and gargling water and then spitting it out, well then, No.

I rinse, always have. Teaching my kids to rinse. I just fill my mouth with water directly from the running water, and spit.

yes i rinse! every time. although i was recently at my f.i.l. dentist's office and was given special toothpaste. the fluoride toothpaste container as well as the dental hygienist both told me NOT TO RINSE. it's weird.

so here is my question that i ask my friends.."do you wash your hands every time you use the restroom?"

eekkks, too many of them said no!

and all i have to say is
EVERY TIME!

i'm considering dumping my filthy germ carrying friends.

ha, ha, yes, i rinse. i'm even teaching ava to do it. we call it spitting, it's her favorite part of brushing her teeth. i wouldn't like that tooth paste taste in my mouth from the tooth paste still being in there...
