Our house...the after pictures

Adeline's Room...
This is one of my favorite possessions.  It is a portrait of Adeline and me from when she was 6 weeks old.  I wanted to hang it over her crib, but my husband (in his infinite wisdom) explained that it could possibly fall on the head of my precious girl if she suddenly decided "jumping, jumping" would be a good idea...

I LOVE this chair and ottoman.  I've spent many hours nursing, rocking, and reading to my baby girl in this chair.  SO comfy!

The antique drysink that we use as a changing table.  I found it for a steal at an auction.  I also love these shelves where I can display keepsakes and special gifts for my baby.

The Dining Room and Library...
These rooms are just to the left as you come in our front door.  We still need to find a dining room table and chairs.  The one in our last house wasn't worth moving...trust me.

One of my favorite pieces...an antique china closet.  I change some of the dishes displayed with the seasons.

We found this antique book shelf (well, actually it was a gun case at the time, but we had it refinished for a small fee) at the same place where we found the china closet.  We have A LOT of books at this house, so I love that some of them are behind glass...and away from the dust.  The grandfather clock has been in my parents' house since I was a kid.  They wanted to free up the space for something else, so they brought it here!  It doesn't work, but we will probably wait to fix it until we are done moving (plus, I'm not crazy about things that chime on the hour).  It is made from wood from the home farm where my mom grew up.

Master Bathroom...
You really cannot appreciate the asparagus color here.  I am hoping to hang some black and white pictures from our travels on this bare wall, so I will post some update pictures then and TRY to get the color to show up better.

The Family Room and our Entryway...

This entertainment center can actually be one long piece of furniture.  The two pieces with the glass fit on the right and left of the main piece.  They also fit nicely together to form their own piece of furniture.

Our Bedroom...

The view from our bed...

The Deck

There is a raised portion that is hard to see in this picture.  I am hoping to get a fire pit at some point to put there.  I love the idea of sitting by the fire with hot cocoa, roasting marshmallows.

Well, that wasn't a tour of every room, but it gives you an idea of the place we call home.  You can't get a true feel for our paint colors from these pictures, but we are happy with the results.  If you REALLY want to see the house, you are just going to have to come for a visit.  :o)

It's just beautiful! I love the picture in Adeline's room - 'cause you know I'm a picture freak and it's just a fantastic one!

I love that you have a "library". We do, too! Just nothing like a place to snuggle up with a good book.

Your bedroom looks so peaceful and relaxing - the window brings in so much light. I love it.

I could comment on so much more - but, maybe I'll just have to come see it and tell you in person! :) I'm glad you shared the pictures. I loved seeing the place you call "home".

YEAH!! First that picture in Adeline's room - a.maz.ing! I so love it!

I love the antique wash stand as a changing table, the brown in the living room, all your fun decorating. Your house definitely feels like a home - just from pictures. Oh I can't wait to come and visit!

You are definitely your mother's daughter! Everything is just beautiful. The view from your bed is the best. That's one thing I regret about this house - while our bedroom is at the back of the house where the trees are, there are no windows on that side of our bedroom. I would just love to lay in bed and see the trees. (I don't know exactly when I would do that, but it's nice to imagine that I would!)

BEAUTIFUL!!! Don't you just appricate your house and things so much more now after living in Korea? I SO missed decorating and "changing dishes for the seasons"! (I do the same thing!!) You have inspired me to start painting again...love your colors! Texas doesn't have those beautiful fall leaves, your backyard looks beautiful...God is amazing! Did Joesph paint your picture? He does amazing work huh? Miss you!!

You've done a great job of making the house a home. I love the color of the walls complemented with the fireplace and all the windows. I can't wait to come visit you and see it in person!

I thoroughly enjoyed that! Thank you.

My favorite was the sweet way you described Adeline's room. I can tell you savor that space.

love your new home. You have it decorated very comfy and I love the colors you picked. The pic of you and Adeline is definitely one to cherish, so precious. Your tub looks nice with the trinkets and plant, I would love to have decorations around our tub, but I know my cherubs would destroy them. Your house is so clean and clutter free. Where do you hide all your toys?!

Very nice, cozy, and inviting! Your views are incredible...beautiful time of the year. I like all of your antique pieces, I have many that are waiting for me in storage. Wasn't it like a child during Christmas when you got all of your "stuff" again?!?

Oh, Lynn! I'm sure you are so happy to have all your "stuff" back! It looks beautiful and homey. It is also great that you were able to live here in Korea for a whole year with only 1,000 pounds of furniture! Adeline did great with just a pack-n-play and the floor for a changing table! You are so flexible! :-)

Absolutely lovely! I'm especially jealous of the view from your bedroom window. :)

Love love love it!

I agree with an earlier commenter, "Where do you hide the toys"?

Adeline must not try to get to the decorations and flowers yet. My curious little one has made for a "sparse" look in our household decor, but that means there's less for me to dust! HA HA
