Helping Grandma

A few of you have asked me how my new job is going. I guess I failed to give an update. It's great! The facility is nice, the commute is reasonable, and my co-workers are fun. The facility is privately owned, and so the atmosphere is a lot more layed back than some of the places I've worked. My mom has been making the trip to our house each week, and she is LOVING the extra Adeline time. Adeline, of course, is hopelessly in love with Grandma and is soaking up all the extra love and attention she gets with Grandma here. This is the scene I came home to a few weeks ago...
Adeline helping Grandma bake cookies. She really was helping to take the paper off of some Andes mints and putting them into a bowl. She said, "Hi mommy, I helping!" It was too cute for words.

You are so blessed to have a Mom who will do this for you. Of course she is blessed by building such a great relationship with Adeline!

Cookies made with Andes mints? Why, I'd help too. :-D

Very cute.

Too cute! She's saying so many words! I really miss her (and you and Pat too, don't worry!)

Like I said many times before, I have "Marilyn envy." I love my job, but I just know I'd rather galavant around "working" for my kids. That's what my hubby's getting to do and I envy him too. I AM happy for you and your mom that you can work out this awesome arrangement.

Gotta love that "helping" stage - Ryan is into that too, and though it takes more time to get tasks accomplished, it's so worth it sometimes (especially when the camera's handy!)

That recipe for the Andes mint cookies is the best!!

I am so glad your job is going well. What a blessing to know your mom is home with Adeline.

I am sure Grandma loves her little helper - so cute!

I'm so jealous... I want some cookies! OK, and Grandma too... and Adeline... well, pretty much everything but your job... I don't think I'd be very good at it! N loves to help in the kitchen too. Santa brought him an apron for Christmas. His current favorite dish to make is deviled eggs!

How sweet. I'm sure your mom is eating up this time after you all being away for so long!
