I hope I demonstrate that to my own children...as we sit this week making Tricia write her thank yous...

Of course, on the flip side, being a generous giver even to an ungracious heart is truly only accomplished by the grace of God. Praying we can demonstrate His love that way in our family as well.

I know I have probably had times that I forgot a thank you or didn't seem appreciative because of my own selfishness, distracted by my life at the time...I hope the person doing for me has understood.

Love the pottery - it suits your style!Mary@notbefore7https://www.blogger.com/profile/17294717852179643696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-901224762310948058.post-73714650221859471632009-08-23T09:53:16.453-04:002009-08-23T09:53:16.453-04:00ps. what do you think of thank you phone calls or ...ps. what do you think of thank you phone calls or emails? in this day of modern technology does one have to write a card? i have recently had to think about that...joana ahnnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-901224762310948058.post-52378972405993855652009-08-23T09:50:01.617-04:002009-08-23T09:50:01.617-04:00i love that. i love when someone pulls off the pe...i love that. i love when someone pulls off the perfect gift. i attempt to do it sometimes and when it actually works out it's awesome!joana ahnnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-901224762310948058.post-12358674061688034732009-08-22T12:31:04.540-04:002009-08-22T12:31:04.540-04:00After spending so much time with my dad this summe...After spending so much time with my dad this summer, I have decided that a grateful spirit is the most beautiful thing to develop. I used to be so much better about writing cards... I made it a priority...and I did well for awhile, but the third kid really tipped the scales for me. Thanks for the reminder of how important it is to let others know we are thankful. I want to model it for my kids as well.LifeAtTheCircus.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07707823906597511600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-901224762310948058.post-61228094092281223782009-08-21T15:21:08.417-04:002009-08-21T15:21:08.417-04:00That is beautiful pottery - I'm sure the whole...That is beautiful pottery - I'm sure the whole set is gorgeous!

I am someone who tries to remember to say thanks and send cards - but I've gotten worse with age...even though I don't take the time to always do it, it is in my heart. I realize that I should do things out the goodness of my own heart and not expect anything in return. But "thanks" is always nice!Christiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17154535180991072736noreply@blogger.com
